Tunbury Primary

We understand that starting school is an exciting time for you and your child.  We will do everything we can to make your child’s transition into primary school as smooth as possible.  This will include opportunities for you and your child to visit Tunbury several times in June and July, starting with a ‘stay and play’ visit for you together, followed by a story time visit and a half-day visit for your child on their own.

For further details, please attend a New Entrants meeting on Monday 20th June.  At this meeting, we will confirm our plans for summer transition visits, September dates/times, class groupings and staffing.  This year, we will be holding both in-school and online New Entrants meetings on Monday 20th June.  At the in-school meeting, 3.30-4.30pm, we will provide information and invite you and your child to visit their new classroom and meet their teacher.  The online meeting will be at 5.00-5.30pm, and will repeat the information section of the in-school meeting for those who are unable to attend in-person.

In the meantime, if your child has been offered a place with us, please confirm acceptance of the school place by emailing office@tunbury.kent.sch.uk . Also, to help us with transition arrangements, including class allocations, please complete our two Admission Forms detailed on the New Entrants section of our website https://www.tunbury.kent.sch.uk/Admission-Form/.
Please confirm your acceptance and complete the two Admission Forms by Wednesday 4th May.

If you have a child due to start school in September 2022 and have not been offered a school place or wish to apply for a place at Tunbury, please contact your local authority who will be able to assist you with the application process.

Please see below some virtual tours of Tunbury.
