Headteacher’s message to parents/carers
Dear Parents/Carers,
Congratulations to our fabulous Young Voices choir! On Wednesday evening, 29 children from Team Tunbury joined 1000s of other primary school children to take part in the annual Young Voices concert at the O2. This is such a memorable experience for children, as it captures the enjoyment of music along with the amazing atmosphere of a stadium concert, with children as the stars! This year their favourite songs include the Wicked medley and Power in Me. Our children were wonderful ambassadors for Tunbury Primary School throughout the day, and as always, we are super proud of them. A huge thank you to the staff members Miss Binns, Mrs Harding and Mrs Rose who accompanied this trip, which is truly ‘above and beyond’ normal school work, including a 10.45pm finish at the school gates.
Young Voices is an opportunity offered to children in Years 4-6, so if your child is currently in Year 3, please have a think about whether this is something they might like to participate in next year.

Strive February Half Term Club: Our Strive PE & Sport Multi-Activity Camp is returning to Tunbury Primary this February half term break for one day only! Children will enjoy a fun-filled and active day, including games, sports, and themed activities - all led by qualified staff.
Mini Youth Games: Last Friday, we had our first Mini Youth Games of the school year - swimming! 8 children from Year 5 and 6 went to Medway Park to represent Team Tunbury. Mrs Rose accompanied them and was very impressed with their exemplary behaviour and teamwork, showing fantastic support for each other. There were some brilliant individual performances, with each swimmer's results adding up to a total score for each school, including two team relay races. Out of 35 schools that attended the event, Tunbury came in a magnificent 8th place! We are very proud of our Tunbury Swimmers!
Weekly Class Attendance: This is a weekly feature on our bulletin to highlight and celebrate good levels of attendance. Our KS1 class winners are Red class, with a brilliant 98.33% attendance. Great work from Red class! Our KS2 winners are Ruby class with a fantastic 98.56%. Keep up the good work everyone!

Class Assemblies
Class assemblies will be held in the school hall on Friday afternoons. Parents/carers and family members from each class are warmly invited to join us in school for these events, as our children love to share their learning with you. Please come to the front of the school and wait outside the hall entrance doors. You will be invited in at just before 2.50pm. The assembly will begin at 2.50pm and last for about 10 minutes, finishing in time for you to collect your children at the end of the school day, as normal.
