Headteacher’s message to parents/carers
Dear Parents/Carers,
Easter holidays already - how time flies! The Spring Term has been busy, exciting and successful, with many happy moments for every class. Looking back at our ‘Ambitions for 2023’, we can see how well our children are doing – we are so proud of them!
Exciting news: the TSA are funding a brand new outdoor classroom/ gazebo (similar to this photo) on our school field. The funds for this come from previous TSA events, including Christmas events, fireworks, discos, summer fairs and non-uniform days like today, so thank you for your contributions. The new gazebo will be installed on our school field, with work starting during the Easter holidays. It will provide extra shade and an area to sit when children are on the field for summer breaktimes and lunchtimes. It will also be a new base for class lessons which are taking place outdoors. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Assistant Headteacher: In a change to our leadership structure, Mrs Davies is taking on the role of Assistant Headteacher. Mrs Davies will work alongside our two Deputy Headteachers, Miss Stevens and Mr Taylor, in our school leadership. Mrs Davies is also still our SENCo, so please continue to liaise with her regarding special educational needs.

Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III: To celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, we will be holding our very own Coronation Celebration at Tunbury School on Friday 5th May from 2pm - 4pm.
You are welcome to collect your children from their usual classrooms at 2pm and then join us for music, a variety of inflatable activities, food and drinks and our very popular ice cream van! Let’s come together as a community to celebrate this momentous occasion in our history!

Class assemblies
Class assemblies will be held in the school hall on Friday afternoons. Parents/carers and family members from each class are warmly invited to join us in school for these events, as our children love to share their learning with you. Please come to the front of the school and wait outside the hall entrance doors. You will be invited in at approximately 2.45 pm. The assembly will begin at 2.50 pm and last for about 10 minutes, finishing in time for you to collect your children at the end of the school day, as normal.
