Tunbury Primary

Vision and Values

Our school vision statement: Tunbury is a safe, nurturing and inclusive school community where everyone is respected and valued. We inspire our children to be successful, independent life-long learners.

In addition to our school vision, we also have three core values that we expect the whole school community to follow and uphold:

Thriving

For the school community to flourish and be successful together.

We will all contribute to and share in a safe, positive and fair atmosphere, which allows everyone to blossom.  This enables us to thrive as individuals and as part of a team.  We support each other through successes and challenges, to help us grow as individuals.

Proactive

We in the Tunbury community take control of our well-being and education.

We are self-driven forward-thinkers who are energetic and enthused about developing our knowledge and skills.  We pride ourselves in being independent and using our initiative.  We are always ready to take ownership of our learning, actions and responsibilities.

Solidarity

We aim to provide a unifying spirit that leads to life-long friendships, teamwork and loyalty, which embraces cultural and religious differences.

Unity is an integral part of our journey at Tunbury.  We nurture individuality and recognise the importance of co-operation and respectful communication as life skills for the future.

We are thriving, proactive individuals, who come together in solidarity.

Our Tunbury curriculum is carefully designed to teach our three school values.  To see how this is achieved in each curriculum area, please view this summary:
